 Catamaran Kahanu's
design was created by Marine Architect-Designer and Master Boat Builder
Captain Don Lipton, who built several of his own sailing catamarans
for his business on Waikiki Beach during the last forty-years. Captain Lani worked for Captain Don Lipton for ten (10) years on Waikiki beach sailing catamarans. This is where Captain Lani gained his extensive job training and guest service relations. |
 The dimensions of
Catamaran Kahanu are 40 feet long and 18 feet wide. The catamaran has
exceptional stability for less side to side rocking motion. Another unique quality of Kahanu is its "flying bridge" which gives the Captain a greater advantage in locating spinning porpoises and humpback whales. Humpback whales are usually in Hawaii's warm waters during the months of January through April. The design of Catamaran Kahanu's forward decks gives you the best possible position for picture taking of these magnificent creatures. |
